Banana Strawberry Smoothie

Banana Strawberry Smoothie is one of the most popular kinds of smoothies and it's also one of my favorites. I usually don't put ice cubes or frozen fruits. However now that it's hot in Portland I am freezing bananas and strawberries to make this smoothie.

When you use frozen bananas and frozen strawberries in your smoothie you will get an amazing thick consistency. Bananas don't freeze hard so you can cut them easily to put in the blender. Strawberries get a little harder but you just put them whole in the blender the same way you would do with ice cubes.
Smoothies made with frozen fruit have an amazing and unique texture.
If you don't have any frozen fruit then use some ice cubes. You can also replace some of the milk for frozen yogurt or ice cream.

Another option is to freeze apple juice in an ice tray and use the frozen apple juice cubes instead of ice cubes.

What You Need:
  • 1 banana chopped
  • 4-6 strawberries
  • 3/4 cup milk

Optional:
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- sweetener
- 2-3 cubes of frozen apple juice

What To Do:
Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth.
