Delicious as a crouton substitue or as a snack.
what you need:
- 1 can or 450 gr / 15 ounces chickpeas (garbanzo beans) cooked, drained and dried with paper towel
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves pressed (or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or according to taste
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley (or 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parley)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Note: you can also add dried onion
what to do:
- Preheat oven to 200C or 400F.
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Spread chickpeas on parchment paper in a baking tray (or cookie sheet).
- Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.
- Wait until they cool so they become crunchier.
