GOOD MORNING!!! If you have never made this smoothie you are up for a good surprise.
The prunes make it thick and very smooth. If you use a frozen banana
then it's even more delicious.
And if you like sweet things in life, this is one of them ... if you like prunes of course. What You Need:
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- sweetener
- 2-3 cubes of frozen apple juice
What To Do:
Put everything in a blender
Blend it to your heart's content.
HOWEVER - if you are using frozen bananas, first blend the prunes and milk. Then add the frozen banana, ice, etc.
Why? Because the prunes will blend/dissolve better without the cold banana in the mix.
You can also soften the prunes by re-hydrating them. Place the prunes in a sauce pan and add 1/4 cup water. Let it boil, then simmer for about 2 minutes or until most of the water has evaporated. Let it cool.
