Oh so sweet quinoa 😀
Important info about cooking quinoa
- Wash quinoa thoroughly to remove the bitter taste.
- Quinoa / liquid ratio - for 1 cup of quinoa 2 cups of liquid
- Cooking time - 10 to 15 minutes
What You Need:
- 1/2 cup quinoa
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 ripe banana

What To Do:
Rinse the quinoa under running water using a fine mesh sieve for at least 30 seconds.
Place quinoa, milk of choice, raisins, and cinnamon in a sauce pan over medium high heat. Once it boils let it simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.
Meanwhile mash the banana and place it in a non-stick small saucepan with 1/4 cup water. Let it cook over medium low heat for about 5/6 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cooked banana is very fragrant.
Once quinoa is cooked, mix it with the cooked banana.
Sprinkle with your favorite nuts.
