Sautéed Bok Choy

Tasty, fresh and easy side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 shallots minced
  • 1 kg bok choy halved or quartered
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • piment d'espelette to taste (or your favourite pepper)
  • roasted sesame seeds to finish

What To Do:

Sautee the garlic and shallots in the olive oil for about 1 to 2 minutes or until garlic starts to brown.
Add the box choy, soy sauce, sesame oil and piment d'espelette and toss to coat evenly.
Cover the pan and let it simmer (low heat) for 2 minutes, then stir again.
Cover the pan again and simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes until the bok choy is tender to your liking.
Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds before serving.
