Quinoa with a twist

 


The twist is to add any seasonings of your liking.


what you need:

1 1/2 cup quinoa

1/2 onion finally chopped

3 garlic cloves smashed

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 teaspoon powder ginger

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

3 cups vegetable or chicken broth

1 tablespoon dried parsley



what to do:

Wash quinoa thoroughly to avoid a bitter taste. Drain.

Saute onion and garlic.

Add tomato paste, ginger, paprika and any other seasoning you like and site for about a minute.

Add the quinoa, chicken broth and dried parley.

Let it boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, until the quinoa is translucent and the liquid has incorporated.

Stir with a fork and serve.
