Basic Dog Biscuit

Yummy treats for you canine companion 🐶

This is a basic recipe, which can be enhanced in different ways.

what you need:

  • 3 cups whole flour or regular flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth) or even just water if you are afraid of the salt content of the broth
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten

Note:

- To spice the biscuits up add shredded cheese or bacon bits.

add ins: reduce the broth to 1/3 cup and add 2 tablespoon of one of these options: pumpkin puree, beets puree, peanut butter, mashed banana, mashed sweet potatoes or honey.

what to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 180C or 350 F
  2. Mix everything and work the dough with your hands until all ingredients are well blended. The dough will be stiff and you can add more liquid if necessary.
  3. Use a rolling pin to stretch the dough to 1/4 inch thickness or thinner, which is my preference. Use a knife or a cookie cutter to make the biscuits. Make sure the surface is dusted with flour or the dough will stick.
  4. Place them on a baking sheet on parchment paper.
  5. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Cool on a wire rack and store in an air tight container in the fridge.

Note:

- By adjusting the oven time you can adjust how hard or soft the biscuits will be.
