Braised Endives with Wine

 

This recipe brings you a delightful blend of flavours.


what you need:

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 1 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Belgian endives
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/3 cup chic
    ken broth
  • corn flour to thicken the sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or parsley to garnish


what to do:

Saute onion and garlic.

Add endives cook for 2 to 3 min until begins to caramelise.

Add wine and broth.

Cover and simmer for about 15 min.

Remove the endives and let the sauce of corn flour dce thicken and if necessary add corn flour dissolved in a teaspoon of water.

Serve as a side dish but also with salads and pasta.
