A rich but refreshing desert. Perfect for someone who wants to restrict consumption of refined sugars.
what you need:
- 2 apples (Gala and Golden Delicious are good options)
- 80 to 100 gr dark chocolate 75% or more
- Add a sweetener of choice.
- Serve with grated chocolate, whipped cream or nuts.
what to do:
Core, peel and cut the apples in cubes.
Steam or cook the apples for about 5 to 10 minutes or until they are tender when you insert a fork. Reserve.
Melt chocolate in the microwave or in bain marie.
Add apples and melted chocolate to a powerful blender for better consistency.
Blend until smooth.
Place in ramekins and leave in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Note: I think a reasonable amount of dark chocolate per day is between 20 and 30. If you divide the mousse into 4 ramekins you will have a small amount of mousse but you will have only 25 grams of chocolate.
